Network Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong Cisco experience to join an established in-house network team in Melbourne’s inner north.
This is a hands-on role supporting a sizeable and complex enterprise network environment, with a particular focus on Cisco products and data centre networking. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced network team and be involved in a range of concurrent network initiatives and projects.
The Role You’ll be responsible for the design, implementation, support and ongoing improvement of the organisation’s network environment, with Cisco ACI at its core.
The environment includes:

• Cisco ACI data centre environment
• Firewall segmentation across multiple environments
• Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba networking
• Telstra internet connectivity
• Multiple fibre links
• Enterprise telephony environment
• A range of concurrent network projects and initiatives

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across both BAU and project-based networking, rather than being restricted to a single project or technology.

We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer who brings strong hands-on experience across enterprise networking, particularly:

• Cisco ACI – essential
• Data centre networking
• Cisco switching and routing
• Network segmentation and firewall environments
• Palo Alto
• Aruba
• Fibre and enterprise connectivity
• Network troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Network design and implementation
• Working across multiple initiatives simultaneously

You’ll need to be comfortable being hands-on and on-site, working closely with the existing network team and internal stakeholders.
