Short Description

Seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support network modernization, wireless mobility, cellular infrastructure, and resiliency initiatives across transportation facilities. The role requires a combination of onsite office work and field support at rail stations, bus garages, transportation hubs, maintenance facilities, and remote locations.

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure

  • Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure across.
  • Support highly available network environments with emphasis on redundancy, resiliency, and operational continuity.
  • Perform voice and data network analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization.

Wireless & Cellular Technologies

  • Design and support wireless cellular technologies including:
    • LTE
    • 5G
    • DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems)
    • WWAN (Wireless WAN)
    • Cellular Gateways & Modems
  • Conduct signal analysis, coverage validation, interference troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Support Out-of-Band (OOB) connectivity solutions using cellular technologies.

Telecommunications & Security

  • Analyze voice and data communication requirements.
  • Evaluate telecommunications hardware, services, and vendor proposals.
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation, security audits, infrastructure hardening, and incident response activities.

Field Operations

  • Support network infrastructure at:
    • Rail Stations
    • Bus Garages
    • Transportation Hubs
    • Data Centers
    • Dispatch Centers
    • Maintenance Facilities
  • Provide after-hours support for emergency outages and maintenance activities as required.
