Network Engineer
Role Responsibilities
· Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and VPN solutions.
· Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
· Administer and optimize firewall platforms, security policies, NAT, ACLs, IPS/IDS, and VPN connectivity to maintain network security.
· Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, perform capacity planning, and proactively resolve network issues.
· Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migration projects, and disaster recovery exercises.
· Implement network monitoring and observability solutions using related tools.
· Deploy and maintain enterprise wireless networks and optimize wireless coverage and performance.
· Support data center network infrastructure, including rack installation, structured cabling, server connectivity, and cross-connect implementation.
· Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and secure network services.
· Prepare and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
· Work closely with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and implement infrastructure improvements.
· Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers when required.
Role Requirements
· Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
· Minimum 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with strong hands-on experience in enterprise networking.
· Experience supporting manufacturing, semiconductor, or other high-availability enterprise environments.
· Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching technologies.
· Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms.
· Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, OSPF, VRF, LACP, HSRP/VRRP, NAT, ACL, and VPN technologies.
· Experience with enterprise firewall administration and network security.
· Experience deploying and supporting enterprise wireless networks.
· Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as LibreNMS, Zabbix and Wireshark.
· Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IT infrastructure support.
· Experience with data center infrastructure, structured cabling, and server connectivity.
· Good understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
