Network Engineer L2

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer L2 to join our team in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in routing and switching, with a focus on Cisco technologies. As a Network Engineer L2, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. Key Responsibilities: - Configure and manage VLANs, including Virtual Trunking Protocol (VTP) and InterVLAN routing. - Implement and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. - Manage static routes and develop routing policies, prefix lists, and route redistribution. - Design and maintain IPv4 and IPv6 subnets, routing tables, and default gateways. - Provision, install, and upgrade firmware on routers, switches, and access points. - Analyze traffic patterns to optimize routing metrics and improve convergence times. - Execute routine network changes, hardware replacements, and scheduled maintenance while minimizing downtime. - Configure and manage firewall settings, with knowledge of SD WAN technologies. Required Skills: - Proficiency in routing and switching concepts. - Experience with Cisco networking equipment, including Nexus and Catalyst switches. - Familiarity with protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, STP, VTP, and RSTP. - Understanding of MPLS, VPN (IPsec, SSL), and Quality of Service (QoS). - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
