Network Engineer - Leading Internet Infrastructure Company (Modern technology/CCNP/HCIP/BGP/OSP)

About the Role

Our client is a large-scale technology group operating a comprehensive internal infrastructure function that delivers end-to-end managed services across data centre, cloud, connectivity, networking, security, and enterprise applications. The Network Engineer plays a critical role in deploying and maintaining the high-bandwidth, low-latency network infrastructure that underpins the group's products and services. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on network professional to work at scale, contributing to infrastructure that is robust, resilient, and built for growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and design of large-scale network infrastructure to meet evolving business and technical requirements
• Deploy, configure, and support production network environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
• Proactively maintain network documentation, policies, standard operating procedures, and service records
• Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) testing and validation for new network devices and technologies
• Monitor and analyse traffic data to support capacity planning and future network expansion initiatives
• Optimise routing performance to achieve lowest-latency outcomes across the infrastructure
• Ensure ongoing infrastructure resilience and compliance with relevant regulatory and security policies
• Provide technical support across network implementation projects, including occasional on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Networking, Telecommunications, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Arista, Cisco, or Huawei
• Solid working knowledge of routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN, Segment Routing, QoS, IPSec, NAT, and IPv6
• Experience with firewall solutions such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Checkpoint
• Basic scripting ability in Python or equivalent language
• CCNP, HCIP, or equivalent professional networking certification (is a bonus)
