Requirements:
  • Proven hands-on experience with VMware vRealize Network Insight (vRNI) is essential.
  • Experience working as a Network Engineer, Cloud Consultant, Platform Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of network traffic analysis, application dependency mapping, and enterprise networking.
  • Experience supporting data centre, infrastructure, or cloud migration programmes.
  • Knowledge of VMware technologies and virtualised networking environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Use VMware vRealize Network Insight (vRNI) to analyse network traffic, application dependencies, and communication flows.
  • Produce detailed network traffic reports to support migration planning, application discovery, and dependency mapping.
  • Identify network connectivity patterns, migration risks, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Work closely with network, infrastructure, and application teams to support migration planning and validate application dependencies.
  • Provide technical recommendations based on vRNI analysis to minimise migration risk and business disruption.
  • Document findings, produce technical reports, and maintain migration-related artefacts throughout the project lifecycle.

We are recruiting for a Global IT Services Provider seeking a Network Engineer with strong VMware vRealize Network Insight (vRNI) expertise to support network traffic analysis and reporting activities, enabling the successful planning and delivery of large-scale infrastructure and application migration programmes. The role is fully remote on an initial 6-month contract, with a day rate of £600 to £700 inside IR35.
