Network Engineer
Salary: $5,200 – $6,200 per month
About the role
This role involves designing, implementing, and managing network configurations to ensure connectivity and data integrity, while implementing security measures to safeguard systems and data against unauthorized access, attacks, and breaches. You will develop and implement system monitoring protocols, perform routine maintenance tasks, and collaborate with software developers and other IT professionals to integrate systems and resolve issues.
Key responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage network configurations to ensure connectivity and data integrity
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network infrastructure for maximum efficiency
Implement security measures to safeguard systems and data against unauthorized access, attacks, and breaches
Develop and implement system monitoring protocols to proactively identify and resolve issues
Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and patches, to ensure system reliability and security
Collaborate with software developers and other IT professionals to integrate systems and resolve issues
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
Respond to system-related issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions promptly
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as required
Analyze system performance data, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system components for better efficiency
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience in system engineering, network design, and implementation
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization technologies, and network protocols
Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network security principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are advantageous
