Network Engineer
Key Responsibilities
· Support the operation and maintenance of enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, data center, cloud-connected, and SD-WAN environments.
· Provide hands-on network support for APAC sites, infrastructure projects, and business initiatives.
· Configure and deploy network equipment using approved designs, standards, and implementation procedures.
· Maintain and tune network monitoring systems, including device onboarding, alert thresholds, dashboards, and notification rules, to improve visibility and reduce unnecessary alerts.
· Perform network maintenance, software upgrades, hardware replacements, and technology lifecycle activities.
· Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, switching, wireless, and network performance issues.
· Prepare implementation plans, validation steps, rollback procedures, and change records with guidance from senior engineers when needed.
· Create and maintain network diagrams, device configurations, inventories, operational procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
· Coordinate activities with telecommunications carriers, equipment vendors, structured cabling contractors, and on-site support resources.
· Participate in a global on-call rotation and follow-the-sun operational support model.
· Escalate complex technical issues and communicate status clearly.
Required Qualifications
· Approximately 4 to 5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and operations.
· CCNA-level knowledge of routing, switching, and TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
· Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, VLANs, 802.1Q trunking, port channels, Spanning Tree, EIGRP, and basic BGP concepts.
· Experience supporting enterprise campus, WAN, data center, or wireless network environments.
· Familiarity with network monitoring, incident management, and change management processes.
· Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, diagrams, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting notes.
· Ability to organize assigned work, manage multiple priorities, and escalate issues appropriately.
· Strong collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience using AI-assisted tools for network troubleshooting, log and configuration analysis, documentation, automation, or other network engineering tasks.
· Experience supporting Aruba wireless technologies.
· Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies, including HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect, formerly Silver Peak.
· Familiarity with Aruba ClearPass or other network access control technologies.
· Exposure to AWS networking, cloud routing, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, or hybrid cloud connectivity.
· Familiarity with F5 load-balancing technologies.
· Experience supporting network segmentation or access-control initiatives.
· Experience supporting manufacturing, laboratory, research, or other business-critical environments.
Education and Certifications
· Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
· Additional Cisco, Aruba, AWS, or other relevant technical certifications are beneficial.
