As a Network Engineer, you are supporting, designing, optimizing, and managing our international network and security environment. You work closely with the IT Infrastructure Architect and act as the technical point of contact for both internal teams and external partners. This is wat you bring to the team
Experience as a Network Engineer in complex environments.
Solid knowledge of various network concepts and vendors, such as routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN/SASE, WiFi, load balancing, and security frameworks.
Experience with CATO Networks and/or similar cloud-based security and networking platforms is a plus, but we can also facilitate training
Strong hands-on mentality: you take initiative, solve problems, and think ahead.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Fluency in English is required, and a strong command of the Dutch language is highly preferred to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in the workplace.
Experience in participating in projects or sub-projects.
Affinity with workplace management and endpoint connectivity.
Proactive attitude with a keen eye for optimization and innovation.
Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 20-25% of the time, depending on project and business requirements.

Given the nature of the role, which involves close collaboration with local teams and stakeholders, candidates who are already based in the Netherlands or have experience working within the Dutch business environment will be well positioned for success. Familiarity with Dutch business culture, communication styles, and workplace practices is considered a strong advantage.
Your daily responsibilities include
Supporting, operating, and optimizing the SASE solution, including implementing new functionalities and monitoring network and security performance
Actively cooperating on development network designs and technical documentation
Supporting and executing network segmentation projects (both design and implementation)
Hands-on management of network components and supporting workplace environments
Troubleshooting, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of various network solutions
Collaborating with and supporting the IT Architect in strategic decisions
Aligning with stakeholders and suppliers; you maintain oversight and ensure progress
