Network Engineer - Operations

Job summary:

We are seeking a customer facing Engineer to join some of the industry's brightest minds in developing and deploying today's most advancedInternet technologies. In this role, you will gain insight on the detailed functionality of Cisco products and partner with all distributed elements of the service chain. The ideal candidate demonstrates an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies, evidenced by the ability to expand upon core knowledge. Responsibilities:

  • To support on aspects of WLAN, Campus, WAN/LAN Networking, Security, Data Center technology from requirements capture/definition through customer.
  • To interpret client needs, assess the full requirements, and identify suitable solutions.
  • To support on the service delivery and network solution implementation.
  • To provide support and troubleshooting service for the network infrastructure related incidents and problems.
  • Assists customer with deployment of complex network tools and related Network
  • Builds simulated networks in test labs to validate the design and solution
  • Provides remote or onsite deployment support.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited University.
  • Cisco Certifications CCNP or above (CCIE preferred)
  • Deployment, management and troubleshooting experience of Wireless LAN infrastructure is mandatory.
  • Exposure to management of access & security of Wired/Wireless users/devices in datacenter /Campus environments & compliance and audit requirements.
  • Cisco Wireless Controllers (AireOS/IOS-XE), Cisco WAPs experience would be preferred.
  • The ability to perform highly technical L1, L2 and L3 troubleshooting to determine root cause of software or hardware failure issues.
  • Familiar with the following technologies: STP, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, LISP, high availability, network/device security, QoS, IP SLA, network management.
  • Understanding of Security and Data Center architectures, including virtualization, experience would be an advantage.
  • Hands on experience with Nexus Product Family & Cisco ACI, VXLAN, Cisco ISE solutions, Access solutions such as RADIUS/TACACS+ protocols, as well as 802.1X and MAB, technologies, as well as with Catalyst series switches etc.
  • Professional level knowledge on Switching technologies.
  • Understanding of Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA) architecture and solution
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, Effective consulting and communication skills
  • Programming skills in Linux
