Network Engineer

Summary

Onsite network engineer deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise networks for customer projects, including routing, switching, and security technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support network deployment, implementation, migration, and cutover activities for customer projects.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support, including troubleshooting, issue identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Monitor network performance and system health, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or HQ support teams when required.
  • Assist in network configuration, testing, commissioning, and documentation preparation.
  • Participate in project implementation and coordinate with project managers, sales teams, customers, and partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct technical knowledge transfer and provide documentation to customers upon project completion.
  • Support technical proof-of-concept (POC), demonstrations, and solution evaluations when required.
  • Maintain project records, incident reports, technical documentation, and operational trackers.
  • Follow standard escalation procedures and ensure timely communication of project and incident status.
  • Attend customer meetings to analyze technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide professional technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project delivery, sales, and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge of networking, security, storage, and HCI technologies.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates with strong networking fundamentals are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience will have an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLAN, Routing, Switching, Wireless Networking, and Network Security.
  • Familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies such as STP, LACP, OSPF, VRRP, VXLAN, and network virtualization is preferred.
  • Knowledge of WLAN architecture, deployment, and optimization is an advantage.
  • Exposure to firewalls, endpoint security, virtualization, servers, storage, backup, or HCI solutions is beneficial.
  • Experience with network automation tools such as Python or Ansible is an added advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work onsite at customer locations and travel when required.
