Network Engineer
Salary: $75,000 – $110,000 per year plus benefits

Are you a dedicated Network Engineer who thrives on hands-on infrastructure, firewall administration, and wireless performance optimisation? We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist to step into a pivotal role delivering customer deployments and taking end-to-end ownership of network incidents through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities
Deployment & Ownership: Independently architect, configure, and deploy standard customer network infrastructures while taking end-to-end ownership of complex network incidents.
Core Networking & Routing: Manage IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, VLAN configurations (access/trunk ports), Spanning Tree (STP), Link Aggregation (LAG/LACP), static routing, and inter-VLAN routing.
Firewall & Security Administration: Configure and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, dual-WAN failover strategies, network segmentation, and secure administrative access.
Wireless Engineering: Conduct coverage and capacity assessments, execute optimal AP placement, manage channel and power settings, troubleshoot interference and roaming issues, and deliver secure corporate and guest Wi-Fi environments.
Troubleshooting & Analysis: Perform systematic fault diagnosis using system logs, interface counters, packet captures, and packet analysis tools (such as Wireshark) to isolate true network issues from application or authentication failures.
Operations & Documentation: Maintain infrastructure health through configuration backups, firmware updates, proactive monitoring, and accurate, detailed network documentation.
Required Skills & Technical Experience
Core Vendor Stack: Proven hands-on configuration and administration experience with Ubiquiti, Fortinet (FortiGate), and Cisco Meraki technologies.
L2/L3 Networking: Deep operational knowledge of routing, switching, VLAN trunking, STP, LACP, and dual-WAN redundancy.
Network Security: Strong practical experience in firewall management, NAT, VPN tunnel configuration, and network segmentation.
Wireless Expertise: Proficiency in Wi-Fi design, RF troubleshooting, roaming optimisation, and corporate/guest security models.
Diagnostics: High skill level in packet-level troubleshooting, log analysis, and systematic root-cause isolation.
