Network Engineer – Production Support

Position Summary

The Network Engineer will contribute to a Squad responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Euroclear global and complex network. He will also assist with technical Project delivery.

The candidate will run day-to-day Incident, Alert and Request management. As such he will analyse each Incident and Alerts assigned, troubleshoot and fix any production issue. He will also verify and validate each incoming request before implementing them.

The candidate will set up and maintain the production network infrastructure, as well as contribute to the configuration of network devices related to project delivery.

This position requires an extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN systems, Software Defined Network (ACI technology), Network security. It involves analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities. The Network Engineer will work with the Squad and Tribe members to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues.

The candidate will also show leadership skills allowing him to drive the Squad when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, configure, and support network Infrastructure (APIC, NDO, CISCO and Arista routers and switches).
  • Implementation and maintenance of the Software Defined Network (Cisco ACI)
  • Knowledge of additional Network technology is a plus (Infoblox, AVI, F5, Palo Alto, Checkpoint)
  • Assist with maintaining current documentation of related corporate network implementation
  • Troubleshoot the network systems
  • Provide network project support to other Squads and Tribes with the implementation of enterprise and operational service upgrades
  • Be involved in Infrastructure and Business projects by delivering the required infrastructure (and related documentation)
  • Perform vulnerability assessment, IOS validation & upgrade
  • Maintain process like Configuration Management and Monitoring of the infrastructure
  • Optimize our current network implementation and enhance the automation services
  • Integrate Watch-Duty role and support Week-End releases and interventions

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Certifications in Network Technologies, Information Systems, or other related disciplines (preferred)
  • 5 years minimum of experience in the field
  • Knowledge of Cisco IS, Cisco DNAC, Palo Alto, CheckPoint, F5
  • Excellent knowledge with routing and switching technology (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, GRE, IPSEC, OTV...)
  • Excellent understanding TCP/IP protocols and related DNS (Infoblox), QoS
  • Excellent expertise in Cisco ACI
  • Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Fluent in English
