Network Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud network infrastructure.
Configure and maintain firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point) and other network security appliances.
Monitor network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS, SIEM, and firewall logs.
Troubleshoot network outages, latency issues, and connectivity failures.
Implement network segmentation, NAT, ACLs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Ensure firewall rule policies are compliant with security standards.
Participate in change management and incident response processes.
Document configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with other teams for secure deployments of servers, applications, and cloud resources.
Provide L2/L3 support for network security issues and escalations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–6 years of hands-on experience in network and firewall engineering.
Proficient in managing firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco, Sophos).
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnets, DNS, DHCP, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and network troubleshooting.
Experience with security protocols and best practices (NIST, ISO, CIS).
Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
Certifications : CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE4/5, or similar.
