Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, and cloud network infrastructure.

  • Configure and maintain firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point) and other network security appliances.

  • Monitor network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS, SIEM, and firewall logs.

  • Troubleshoot network outages, latency issues, and connectivity failures.

  • Implement network segmentation, NAT, ACLs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

  • Ensure firewall rule policies are compliant with security standards.

  • Participate in change management and incident response processes.

  • Document configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Collaborate with other teams for secure deployments of servers, applications, and cloud resources.

  • Provide L2/L3 support for network security issues and escalations.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in network and firewall engineering.

  • Proficient in managing firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, FortiGate, Cisco, Sophos).

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnets, DNS, DHCP, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and network troubleshooting.

  • Experience with security protocols and best practices (NIST, ISO, CIS).

  • Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.

  • Certifications : CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE4/5, or similar.
