Network Engineer
Summary
Designs, deploys, and maintains LAN/WAN infrastructure, including wireless networks, firewalls, and load balancers, while ensuring security, performance, and reliability for a client.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Configure, and deploy LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and other network components.
- Install and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network availability and reliability.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
- Document network in frastructure, configurations, and procedures.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Provide support for network-related incidents and service requests.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
- Network certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA are preferred.
