Network Engineer (Senior/ Lead)
Responsibilities:
- Gather business and/or application requirements on the infrastructure to plan, design, install, test & implement systems in accordance with the specifications & service level.
- Aligned or enhanced ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations e.g. Change, Incident, problem, release management & CMDB.
- Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & service level availability
- Respond promptly to incident, root cause analysis & provide temporary and/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
- Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
- Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
- Able to lead a team of network engineers (size).
- Evaluates internal & external business environment to develop long-term strategy for the unit/organization
- Applies business & financial knowledge to address business issues & drive the business.
- Establishes & promotes effective business operations across multiple countries &/or regions & coordinates appropriately with the broader global business
- Attain key certifications for partnership with key vendors
Requirement:
- Hands-on experience in configuring routers/switches (e.g., Cisco and Alcat)
- Cisco Certified Network Engineer certification, or equivalent are a plus
- Proven experience in leading a team of network engineers is a plus
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
- Experience with network security fundamentals and best practices
- Proficiency in network diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
