Network Engineer

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment

• Monitor network performance and conduct regular diagnostics to identify and resolve issues proactively

• Configure and maintain network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control systems

• Perform network upgrades and expansions to support business growth

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and provide technical support to end-users and internal teams

• Document network configurations, systems, and procedures for future reference and compliance

• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new applications and services

• Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to protect against network threats

• Enforce network access policies and support security event investigations

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and infrastructure management

• CCNA is required; holders of CCNP or equivalent vendor accreditation will be an advantage

• Strong knowledge of network network & security architectures, such as Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPNs.

• Proficiency with network equipment and technologies from major vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks (PA), Fortinet, Aruba AC etc.

• Experience with network security concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and resolve them efficiently

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Experience with network monitoring tools and systems management platforms will be an advantage

This role is highly hands-on and involves direct configuration, troubleshooting, implementation and support of network and security systems.
