About the role
We are hiring Network Engineers at several levels. Junior and mid-level engineers configure, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise networks on Huawei and Cisco. Senior engineers act as Tier 2 experts for a banking customer's branch and SD-WAN network, taking escalated incidents, planning changes and advising the customer's teams.
Key responsibilities
All levels:
Configure and maintain Huawei and Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and wireless systems.
Implement and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols: OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs and QoS.
Configure and support firewalls, VPN services and basic IDS/IPS, applying firewall rules and security best practices.
Monitor and optimize network performance, availability and security, and resolve incidents using vendor diagnostic tools.
Perform regular maintenance, firmware upgrades and patch management.
Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, configuration standards, and incident and change reports.
Work with cross-functional IT teams, vendors and ISPs to keep the network running and improving.
Senior level (Tier 2):
Resolve complex L2–L3 incidents escalated from the Tier 1 team, and close Tier 2 tickets within the agreed SLA.
Act as technical consultant to the Operator team, Tier 1 engineers and the customer's stakeholders on branch network and SD-WAN.
Review SD-WAN and branch monitoring results, and recommend preventive and performance improvements.
Plan Change Requests: coordinate with application owners, analyze impact, and propose low-risk solutions for CAB approval.
Review configurations and prepare equipment upgrade plans so they meet the customer's standards.
Join the on-call standby rotation, and provide on-site support at the customer's head office during critical incidents.
