Network Engineer
Summary
Designs, implements, and supports enterprise networks (LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN) and cloud connectivity while troubleshooting incidents, ensuring security, and leading network projects.
Network Engineering & Architecture
Design, implement, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking solutions.
Develop and maintain network architecture standards, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Evaluate and recommend network technologies, hardware, and software solutions.
Lead network upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Operations & Support
Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex network incidents and outages.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
Ensure network availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as required.
Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, NAC, segmentation, and secure remote access.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
Support compliance, audit, and risk management requirements.
Maintain network security standards and best practices.
Cloud & Infrastructure Integration
Design and support connectivity to Azure, AWS, GCP and OCI.
Integrate network services with enterprise infrastructure platforms.
Support hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud networking architectures.
Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions where appropriate.
Project Leadership
Lead technical aspects of network-related projects from planning through implementation.
Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.
Develop project plans, implementation procedures, and testing strategies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security technologies.
Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, or similar enterprise platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Experience supporting large-scale and mission-critical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification.
Experience with Cloud networking.
Experience with SD-WAN and network automation technologies.
Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible.
Industry certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or AWS Advanced Networking Specialty.
