Network Engineer

Summary

Implement and maintain enterprise-grade firewalls, switches, and wireless networks for clients, troubleshooting issues and ensuring security compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities

Tak System is looking for individuals who are currently performing the role of a network engineer or someone who has the interest and aptitude to break into this highly specialized sector. Successful candidates will learn to implement enterprise grade firewalls and security solutions, on top of network switching and wireless technologies, to provide a comprehensive network solution to clients.


Requirements:

· Candidate to possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or relevant working experience.

· Valid IT certifications from Cisco, Juniper or any other Enterprise networking products is an advantage.

· Knowledge of network security concepts and best practices is an advantage.

· Some experience in network implementation is preferred

· Good understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, OSI model, subnet, routing, switching, and VLANs

· Good communication skills are essential.

· Be able to work effectively in a team and independently

· Be able to carry and mount at least 1U network appliances.

· Able to start work immediately or within a month.

· Only Singaporeans and permanent residents


Responsibilities:

· Troubleshooting, resolving network issues

· Plan and implement network solutions using industry best practices

· Secure network systems by enforcing policies, managing access.

· Plan and execute network equipment firmware upgrades.

· To configure and integrate Next Generation Firewall equipment, Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches, Enterprise WIFI solutions.

· Post Project Network Documentation

· Pass and maintain relevant certifications as required by the company
