Network Engineer Tier 2
Salary: RM 3,000 – RM 3,500 per month
Scope of Service
To proactively monitor network devices (IP/Transmission/Voice)/components and other telecom related facilities
To analyse alarms information from operation support systems and follow up further actions taken if required
To escalate network problems to appropriate vendors/parties and/or internal personnel in accordance with department procedure and manage issues through to resolution
To receive network alerts and record in Ticketing System if required
To provide support 7 x 24 Network Operation Centre and POP operations
To review supplier quality of work performance and request to provide improvement plan
To troubleshoot network faults impacting customer services or backbone network
To execute detailed verification and acceptance plans of network maintenance and network change requests activity
To carry out emergency call out ( ECO ) services with Network Operations Centre or provide on site support in HGC POP
Requirements:
Degree or high diploma in engineering disciplines
Minimum of 2 years practical experience in telecom industry preferably working in a Network Operations Center
Solid and hands on experience in operating systems such as ONT, SDH and DWDM network
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Holder of CCNA / CCNP / Cloud related cert / Transmission technology related cert will be an advantage
Good command of written and spoken English
Shift duty and emergency call out ( ECO ) services are required.
