Network Engineer x 2

Salary: $850-$950 /day + Super

Our client is a large organisation delivering a major infrastructure program across NSW, with approximately 100 new sites requiring new network infrastructure.

Role Description:
The Network Engineers will support the implementation and onboarding of network infrastructure across multiple new sites. The role will work closely with network operations, infrastructure delivery and project teams to ensure sites are connected, secure and ready for operational use.
This is a hands-on project-focused role suited to Network Engineers who are comfortable managing multiple priorities, troubleshooting technical issues and working across different site implementations.
Responsibilities:

• Configure new network switch infrastructure
• Configure Aruba wireless access points
• Update and manage firewall configurations
• Configure networks supporting telephony, CCTV and other IoT devices
• Configure and troubleshoot switching and routing
• Configure and manage VLANs
• Conduct post-implementation testing and support
• Update network management systems
• Troubleshoot issues when onboarding devices and equipment
• Assist with network incidents and operational support when required
• Work closely with project managers, infrastructure delivery teams and onsite support
• Manage competing priorities across multiple sites and project activities

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Network Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Aruba AOS and CX Switching
• Experience with Aruba AirWave
• Experience with Aruba IAP Wireless Access Points
• Strong experience with FortiGate Firewalls
• Strong experience with Palo Alto Firewalls
• Strong switching and routing experience
• Strong VLAN configuration experience
• Network troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Methodical approach with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with wider Network Engineering and project teams

Desirable:

• Aruba ClearPass experience
• Experience working across large-scale, multi-site infrastructure projects

Government experience is not required.
