Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
Reporting to the Contract Manager, you’ll play a critical role in inspecting network assets, identifying defects, and supporting maintenance planning to ensure compliance, safety, and value-driven outcomes across the network.
Key responsibilities:
Network inspection & defect management
- Conduct regular inspections of roads and corridor assets to identify and prioritise defects
- Recommend cost-effective treatment solutions and timeframes
- Monitor defect performance and ensure compliance with contract standards
- Work closely with delivery teams to support maintenance planning and execution
- Participate in night inspections and emergency response activities when required
Asset data & systems (RAMM)
- Accurately capture and manage defect data using RAMM/Pocket RAMM
- Maintain high-quality asset data in line with client (NZTA/Council) requirements
- Support field data collection and ensure accuracy and completeness of records
Contract performance & planning
- Provide insights and data to support maintenance programmes and optimisation
- Identify risks, variations, and improvement opportunities
- Deliver timely reporting on network performance and issues

You’ll be a motivated professional who thrives in a field-based role and enjoys problem-solving in a practical environment.
You will bring:
- Experience in network inspection, roading maintenance, or asset management
- Strong understanding of defect identification and treatment selection
- Experience using RAMM or similar asset systems
- Excellent planning, organisation, and attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and making sound field decisions
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
