Network & IP Collaboration Engineer{Voice, and Video Conferencing Solutions}
- Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco-based LAN/WAN solutions, focusing on IP collaboration tools and services (VoIP, video conferencing, and unified communication platforms).
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco network devices including Cisco routers, switches (Catalyst/Nexus series), and wireless access points to optimize network performance for collaboration solutions.
- Implement Cisco QoS (Quality of Service) for prioritizing voice and video traffic, ensuring seamless communication with minimal latency and jitter.
- Manage and monitor network performance for Cisco devices and collaboration platforms, ensuring optimal uptime and quality for video and voice services.
- Implement and maintain Cisco Unified Communications (CUC) solutions, Cisco VoIP systems, and Cisco WebEx for video conferencing.
- Configure Cisco Call Manager (CUCM), Cisco Expressway, and Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) to support secure voice and video communication across the network.
- Ensure the secure and reliable deployment of video conferencing solutions, including Cisco TelePresence and third-party platforms integrated with Cisco devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Cisco IP phones, video endpoints, and collaboration platforms to maintain communication quality.
- Implement and enforce security measures for voice, video, and collaboration platforms using Palo Alto Firewalls and Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls.
- Configure and monitor Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls to protect collaboration traffic, ensuring encrypted communications and protection from cyber threats.
- Work collaboratively with IT teams, vendors, and other departments to implement and manage network solutions that support collaboration tools.
- Provide technical expertise and ongoing support for troubleshooting and resolving network and collaboration issues.
- Document network configurations for Cisco devices, collaboration platform setups, security configurations, and incident resolutions.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation on system performance, configurations, and network topologies.
- Use Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco DNA Center, and Fortinet FortiManager to continuously monitor network health, particularly for collaboration traffic (voice and video) across Cisco devices.
- Analyze and report on system performance, network utilization, and troubleshooting for collaboration tools.
- Use monitoring tools such as Cisco NetFlow or SolarWinds to ensure optimal performance of collaboration services.
Requirements
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering and collaboration technologies, specifically in Cisco and security firewall environments (Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Cisco-based VoIP solutions, video conferencing systems, and unified communications.
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls in securing collaboration platforms and network infrastructure.
- Experience with integration of Cisco collaboration platforms with third-party tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco WebEx, and Cisco TelePresence systems.
- Strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies and IP routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- In-depth experience with Cisco QoS (Quality of Service) for VoIP and video prioritization.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IP Phones, Cisco Video Conferencing Systems, and Collaboration Servers (CUCM, CUC, Cisco Expressway).
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls in protecting collaboration traffic and ensuring secure communications.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for both network infrastructure and collaboration technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and reporting.
- Full-time position with occasional on-call or after-hours support as required.
- Some local travel may be required depending on the nature of the role.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing & Switching or Collaboration.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or Fortinet NSE certifications for firewall management.
- Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration or other Cisco collaboration-related certifications are a plus.
