We are supporting the expansion of a dedicated Network Operations team, with multiple Network Operations Engineer positions available to support the critical IP backbone and data centre network infrastructure of one of the world's largest global technology companies.

For engineers currently working in an ISP, telecommunications provider, Network Operations Centre (NOC), or large-scale data centre environment, this offers an opportunity to join a growing team, gain exposure to world-class hyperscale infrastructure and enjoy a structured, non-shift working environment.

The Opportunity

As part of this team expansion, we are seeking multiple Network Operations Engineers to monitor, troubleshoot and maintain critical IP and core network infrastructure across a large-scale global network environment.

You will work alongside specialist engineering teams to investigate network incidents, perform fault isolation, maintain network availability and ensure reliable connectivity across backbone and data centre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support large-scale IP, core and backbone network infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot network faults involving routing protocols, connectivity, latency and performance.

• Investigate incidents involving BGP, MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS and related IP networking technologies.

• Perform hands-on network diagnostics, fault isolation and troubleshooting using network equipment and CLI tools.

• Monitor network alarms, identify service-impacting issues and coordinate incident resolution.

• Support network provisioning, configuration validation, circuit activation and connectivity testing.

• Escalate complex technical issues to specialist engineering teams and vendors.

• Maintain accurate incident records, technical documentation and operational procedures.

• Contribute to improvements in network monitoring, troubleshooting and operational processes.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in speaking with Network Engineers who have experience supporting live, production network environments.

Ideally, you will bring:

• Experience in a Network Operations Centre (NOC), ISP, telecommunications, service provider or large-scale network environment.

• Good understanding of IP networking, routing and troubleshooting.

• Exposure to technologies such as BGP, MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS or IP backbone networks.

• Experience working with networking equipment from vendors such as Cisco or Juniper.

• Ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting, network diagnostics and fault isolation.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools, incident management and ticketing systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical issues effectively.

Additional experience that would be advantageous:

• Experience supporting IP Core, IP/MPLS or carrier backbone networks.

• Exposure to hyperscale data centre networking or data centre interconnectivity.

• Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical network environments.

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA or JNCIS.

You do not need experience across every technology listed. We welcome applications from engineers with a strong foundation in IP networking who are looking to develop their expertise in larger, more complex network environments.
