Network Operations Technician

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with network design and implementation for new events, supporting senior engineers with the installation and setup of network hardware and software.


• Monitor network performance, diagnose and resolve connectivity and performance issues, and analyse logs.


• Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and assist with routine changes and upgrades.


• Help maintain network security, manage user permissions, and protect data.


• Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and release notes.


• Provide network infrastructure support and assist with any network-related problems.

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).


• Foundational knowledge of network protocols, hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), and operating systems (e.g., Cisco IOS).


• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification preferred.


• 2–4 years of experience in network support/operations.
