Objective

  • Responsible for translating system requirements into scalable hardware platform architectures with a focus on networking, connectivity, power distribution, and platform infrastructure.
  • Drive hardware architecture definition, technology roadmap planning, component ecosystem development, and supplier technical evaluations for future cockpit, ADAS, and centralized computing platforms.
  • Act as a key technical representative of the hardware organization in platform-level discussions with system architects, software architects, suppliers, and global development teams, while actively participating in hardware solution definition and critical technology decisions.

Main tasks

1. Hardware Architecture & Solution Definition

  • Analyze system requirements from a hardware perspective

  • Translate system requirements into networking and power platform architectures

  • Define platform-level connectivity and power concepts

  • Support architecture discussions with global development teams

  • Perform architecture trade-off studies and feasibility evaluations

  • Support major platform-level technical decisions

2. Network & Power Domain Ownership

  • Develop networking and power technology roadmaps

  • Define preferred component and supplier strategies

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends

  • Establish reusable platform-level hardware solutions

  • Support future platform planning and architecture evolution

  • Details\:

  • Networking & Connectivity: Automotive Ethernet, Ethernet PHY, Switch Architecture, Gateway Architecture, PCIe, USB, SerDes, Camera Connectivity and Network Topology.

  • Power\: Power Tree, PMIC Strategy, Power Sequencing, Power Monitoring, Power Distribution, Compute Platform Power Architecture

3. Hardware Development & Technical Leadership

  • Participate in hardware architecture implementation activities

  • Support component selection and technology evaluations

  • Support schematic reviews and architecture reviews

  • Support complex debugging and root cause analysis

  • Drive networking and power related technical issue resolution

  • Support validation activities and technical closure

4. Technical Reviews & Supplier Management

  • Lead networking and power architecture reviews

  • Review supplier technical solutions and component selections

  • Challenge supplier assumptions and design decisions

  • Evaluate technology risks and technical maturity

  • Support issue escalation and technical governance

5. Capability Building & Knowledge Management

  • Develop architecture guidelines and design best practices

  • Build review methodologies and checklists

  • Establish reusable technical knowledge databases

  • Support capability development within the hardware team

  • Drive continuous engineering improvement
