Cerebras Systems is hiring a remote (US) Network Security Engineer to operate and secure its data center, cloud, and corporate networks — managing firewalls, segmentation, VPN/ZTNA, and AWS networking, and automating workflows with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and GitOps. Requires 7+ years in network/security engineering.
You will remotely operate and secure data center, cloud, and corporate network infrastructure. You will manage firewalls, segmentation, network access, VPNs, routing, switching, telemetry, and automation; coordinate remote changes and incident response; troubleshoot network issues; and maintain network documentation and runbooks.
Responsibilities
- Operate firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, and network security controls
- Remotely support data center network deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and lifecycle management
- Implement firewall, ACL, and segmentation policies
- Manage NAT, load balancers, DNS filtering, proxies, and egress policies
- Operate VPN, ZTNA, NAC, Wi-Fi, and partner connectivity
- Review firewall rules and segmentation controls and remediate unnecessary exposure
- Automate network and security workflows with infrastructure automation and policy as code
- Support network telemetry, detection, investigation, and containment
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and cloud-networking issues
- Coordinate remote changes and incident response across distributed teams
Requirements
- At least 7 years of network security, network engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security experience
- Experience with firewalls, ACLs, segmentation, routing, switching, VPNs, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting data center and on-premises infrastructure with remote hands
- Experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, transit gateways, security groups, and load balancers
- Experience with Palo Alto, Juniper, Cloudflare, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Python, GitOps, or similar automation tools
- Knowledge of ZTNA, NAC, egress controls, TCP/IP, DNS, and TLS
- Ability to work independently remotely and collaborate across time zones
- Ability to travel occasionally to offices or data centers
