Network Security Engineer
Summary
Hands-on Network Security Engineer deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting network and security infrastructure—switches, routers, firewalls—across customer data center environments.
Position Description
We are seeking a Network Security Engineer with approximately 2 years of experience in network and/or data center deployment. The candidate will support the implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and security infrastructure across customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain network and data center infrastructure.
Support implementation and troubleshooting of switches, routers, firewalls, and related network security technologies.
Assist with network security configuration, monitoring, and incident troubleshooting.
Perform network testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting during deployment projects.
Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve technical issues and deliver projects.
Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, and deployment reports.
Keep up to date with emerging networking and network security technologies.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
Approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, network deployment, or data center deployment.
Experience with network infrastructure deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and network security fundamentals.
Exposure to firewalls, IDS/IPS, network monitoring, or other network security technologies.
Hands-on experience with one or more major networking vendors, preferably Juniper, Extreme Networks, Nokia, or Cisco.
Relevant technical certifications are preferred, such as Juniper, Extreme, Nokia, or Cisco certifications.
Familiarity with network security principles, OSI model, TCP/IP model, and common networking protocols.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a technical team.
Willingness to work on-site at customer/data center locations and support deployment activities when required.

Cisco: CCNA / CCNP
Juniper: JNCIA / JNCIS
Extreme Networks: relevant Extreme certifications
Nokia: Nokia/Service Routing certifications
Ideal Candidate: A hands-on Network Engineer with around 2 years of deployment experience who has worked with enterprise networking or data center environments and holds, or is working towards, certifications in Cisco, Juniper, Extreme Networks, and/or Nokia.
