Join us as an Network & Security Engineer Trainee (IEFP)!

As a Network & Security Engineer Trainee at Euronext Technologies, you will join the Infrastructure and Cloud Services Team, supporting the daily operation and protection of our network and security infrastructure. In this internship, you will gain practical experience by working alongside experienced engineers, contributing to the reliability and security of Euronext’s IT environment. You will be involved in a variety of operational tasks, supplier interactions and infrastructure checks, all essential for maintaining a robust and secure network.

Key Accountabilities

You will be primarily responsible for:

Networking and connectivity

  • Learn and assist with configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting network equipment.
  • Support and ensure reliable connectivity across LAN, WAN and VPNs.
  • Assist in managing IP addressing, VLANs and wireless networks.

Monitoring and reporting

  • Use network and security monitoring tools to identify performance bottlenecks or threats.
  • Prepare system health and security status reports.

Incident response and troubleshooting

  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving network and system issues.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers during incident investigations.
  • Support disaster recovery and data restoration efforts when necessary.

Collaboration and team support

  • Work closely with IT teams, vendors and stakeholders to meet infrastructure goals.
  • Provide basic support to end-users for network and security-related concerns.
  • Assist in cross-functional projects requiring IT infrastructure input.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor´s or Master´s Degree in IT, Computer Engineering or related fields
  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, ICMP).
  • Understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP models.
  • Familiarity with subnetting, CIDR and IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6).
  • Skills in reporting and presentation methods, including academic experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Good organizational skills and strong inter-team communication.
  • Proactive attitude and sense of ownership.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal communication).
  • Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship.
