Network Security Engineer
NewBe an early applicantWe are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer who will help run, scale, and improve our secure network infrastructure through hands-on operations, design, and implementation, working with firewalls and security appliances.
Should be able to collaborate with traders and engineers globally to design perimeter security, enable business workflows securely, and automate observability with scripting and tooling, while continuously improving our security
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience operating and deploying network infrastructure.
• Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, PIM-SM).
• Troubleshooting transport protocols (TCP/UDP).
• Strong understanding of firewall hardware architecture and performance metrics.
• Experience with firewall configuration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of PKI and related technologies.
• Familiarity with modern encryption techniques.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
• Experience with network security tools and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus; knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS is a plus.
• Network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+ or JNCIA preferred.
Responsibilities
• Design and deploy security perimeter and adjacent network infrastructure.
• Design, configure, and deploy LANs, WANs, wireless networks and other network components.
• Install and maintain network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Manage and evolve network segmentation, DMZ, and security controls.
• Evaluate and lab-test new platforms for network security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to detect and mitigate threats and vulnerabilities.
• Interface with application owners and traders to enable secure business workflows.
• Improve observability and scripting to empower support and automation.
• Improve network security processes and documentation.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure availability and reliability.
• Implement and enforce network security policies including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches and security configurations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve network issues.
