Network Security Specialist

As part of our Business Technology team, the Network & Security Specialist will ensure the CRL Network/Security systems, whether on-premise, cloud or hybrid are provisioned and managed in their lifecycle in a manner that is scalable, secure, available, measurable, supportable and consistently delivering.

You will ensure the automation and lifecycle management of appropriate Network/Security/infrastructure services based on CRL and SEC/DEV/OPS requirements and priorities.

You will develop and practice lifecycle management of systems in a distributed environment (on-premise, IaaS) in accordance with CRL and SEC/DEV/OPS requirements and priorities. Manage performance and operational indicators/measures as agreed across the IT systems to ensure continuous delivery and service reliability.

This role will participate in an on-call roster, providing after hours support for critical network and security infrastructure, incident response, and service restoration activities as required.

As our Network & Security Specialist, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or significant proven experience in a similar role
  • Relevant Vendor certifications in Network/Security infrastructure
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a distributed technology environment.
  • Demonstrable Experience with core networking technologies, examples: Firewalls, Load Balances, Routing, Switching, Security and Wireless
  • Ability to participate in an on-call support roster and respond to critical incidents outside of normal business hours.

The following would be advantageous:

  • Experience with fibre and copper network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications and WAN connectivity services.

You will also be equipped with strong emotional intelligence and strategic thinking that supports the ability to both empower and influence individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
