JOB SUMMARY:

Haas Door is seeking an experienced Server, Storage, Network & Virtualization Engineer for our single location manufacturing operation.

We are looking for a team player who combines deep technical capability with a customer-service mindset, adaptability, and a strong spirit of collaboration. Working in close partnership with the Business Systems & Security Manager (BSSM), our internal Application Developers, and OT Network leads, this position takes primary hands-on ownership of our enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco Meraki, core routing/switching, WAN/LAN), central data storage systems (IBM SAN/NAS), data backup and protection ecosystems (Veeam/Exagrid), server hardware, and virtual Windows server environments (VMware and Hyper-V).

CORE ATTRIBUTES & CULTURAL FIT

At Haas Door, how we work together is just as important as the technology we manage. The ideal candidate will embody the following core attributes:

  • Team Player: Demonstrates humility, drive, and strong interpersonal skills—prioritizing team success, taking initiative, and fostering positive working relationships.

  • Customer-Centric: Approaches every technical issue with a customer service mindset and a focus on positive employee impressions.

  • Agility: Demonstrates the flexibility and aptitude to learn new applications in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Collaborative: Able to work as an integral part of high-energy networking and development teams.

  • Values-Driven: Demonstrates a commitment to Haas Door’s Core Values in all professional interactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Server Architecture

  • Server Hardware Lifecycle: Oversee physical server equipment, including host health monitoring, firmware updates, hardware maintenance, and vendor support management.

  • Compute Performance & Resource Optimization: Proactively monitor host performance and balance server CPU and memory allocations to support expanding plant requirements.

2. Storage Architecture

  • SAN/NAS Central Storage: Own the setup, daily management, capacity planning, and health monitoring of central storage arrays to ensure high performance and zero data bottlenecks for business and manufacturing operations.

  • Storage Capacity & Optimization: Proactively track storage growth, manage disk and flash allocations, and optimize storage utilization to support scaling operational demands.

3. Backup, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

  • Veeam & Exagrid Ownership: Serve as the primary technical authority and thought leader for data backup, system recoveries, and overall disaster recovery architecture using Veeam software and Exagrid appliances.

  • Ransomware & Data Protection: Implement and enforce immutable (tamper-proof) backup repositories, air-gapped storage policies, and offsite data replication to ensure immediate recovery from ransomware or system failures.

  • DR Testing & Runbooks: Author detailed disaster recovery step-by-step guides (runbooks) and lead regular, structured failover and restore testing across critical servers, databases, and business systems.

4. Enterprise IT Network Architecture

  • Meraki Enterprise Ecosystem: Maintain, optimize, and expand the end-to-end Cisco Meraki deployment, including enterprise firewalls, core/distribution switches, wireless access points, and security camera infrastructure.

  • Core Network Services: Administer core networking protocols and infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, VLAN segmentation, BGP/OSPF, IPsec/SSL VPNs, subnetting, and high-availability routing).

  • WAN / LAN Reliability: Monitor bandwidth utilization and internet/WAN links to support uninterrupted communications between plant facilities and cloud applications.

  • Plant & Application Development Partnering: Act as the primary IT liaison to OT Network leads, Plant Engineering, Maintenance, and Plant Application Development teams, participating in machine installs, line moves, and application rollouts.

5. Virtualization & Platform Engineering

  • Hypervisor Management: Design, maintain, and support virtual server environments (VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V), keeping hosts patched, high-performing, and prepared for future platform updates or migrations.

  • Development & Sandbox Support: Maintain isolated virtual test environments so internal software development and engineering teams can safely validate applications prior to production release.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Experience

  • 5–8+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise server, storage, and network infrastructure–preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Proven track record as a technical owner for enterprise backup and data recovery platforms using Veeam software and dedicated backup appliances (e.g., Exagrid).

  • Demonstrated experience administering virtual host clusters (VMware, Hyper-V) and participating in system upgrades or platform migrations.

  • Solid working knowledge of core networking concepts and IT security best practices.
