Network Specialist/Technician (GT26101010)
GST, LLC. is seeking an experienced Network Specialist/Technician to join our team in support of the WV State IT projects.
This position will be located at our office in Fairmont, WV.
Requires an understanding of computer hardware and peripherals such as PC's, Servers, Printers, Scanners, Network Switches, Routers, and Firewall appliances. Experience with SonicWall Firewall's is preferred but not required. Position requires the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems for desktop PC's, laptops, tablets, printers, and scanners. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Experience with software installation and configuration is required. Experience with Cisco networking equipment is required.
Primary Duties:
• Set up and repair of computers and related equipment.
• Ability to work and communicate with customers both on phone and in person.
• Ability to install and configure software.
• Ability to design and set up computer networks.
• Ability to travel throughout West Virginia to work with customers.
Required Education/Experience Skills:
- A.S. or B.S. Degree in Information Systems or related field and 1 year of hands-on experience with computers and networking is preferred.
• A+, Network+, and Security+ preferred but not required
• Cisco Networking experience/certifications helpful but not required
• Demonstrated skill working with entry-level users to resolve problems
• Some state-wide travel (West Virginia) is required. (1-2 days per week)
• PC Hardware diagnostics/troubleshooting
• Printer/Scanner diagnostics/troubleshooting
• Desktop software troubleshooting
• Document Management software installation/configuration and troubleshooting
• New PC, Printer, scanner, plotter installation / configuration
• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Network Switches, Firewalls, and Routers

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range or this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
