Network Support Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure, Network & Azure Consultant to provide specialist technical capability and operational resilience within the ICT Infrastructure & Networks function. This role aims to reduce dependency on a limited number of in-house infrastructure specialists while adding capability across Azure, VMware, Windows Server, networking, infrastructure security, backup/recovery, and hybrid infrastructure. The engagement includes both operational and developmental aspects, involving technical support, incident resolution, documentation, knowledge transfer, and support for the future ICT Target Operating Model.
Main Responsibilities
Manage enterprise routing, switching, and firewall infrastructures.
Administer enterprise Windows infrastructure, storage arrays, and directory services (Active Directory/Entra ID).
Configure and troubleshoot cloud-native environments, specifically Azure Virtual Networks (VNets).
Implement Hub-Spoke topologies, ExpressRoute/VPN Gateways, and Azure Network.
Support operational cover through incident resolution and technical documentation.
Key Requirements
At least 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering/consultancy.
Proven experience in managing enterprise Windows, storage, and directory services.
Demonstrable experience with hybrid Azure/on-premises and enterprise network environments.
Skilled in incident resolution, infrastructure design, and implementation.
Nice to Have
Experience with Azure Arc, Azure Site Recovery, and Microsoft Intune.
Knowledge of infrastructure automation and Azure Monitor.
Familiarity with ITIL/service management environments.
Background in public-sector/regulated environments and NIS2/security compliance.
