Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Location: Roseland, NJ — On-site. This is a hands-on opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys being close to the technology, the team, and the people they support.

Note: Candidates must have 3+ years of directly relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a closely related role, along with strong Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, and troubleshooting experience.

Job Description

  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot switches, access points, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and role-based access.
  • Support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, wireless, endpoint, and connectivity issues.
  • Provide occasional escalated end-user support and help resolve complex technical issues.
  • Manage endpoint patching across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Maintain print servers and enterprise printing environments.
  • Track tickets, meet service expectations, document configurations, and maintain accurate IT records.
  • Partner with vendors to escalate and resolve infrastructure and technology issues.
  • Support security initiatives, vulnerability remediation, endpoint protection, and identity management.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows using PowerShell, Python, or other technologies.
  • Assist with system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new technology deployments.
  • Travel to external locations as needed for hands-on technical support.
  • Participate in on-call support during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, network engineering, infrastructure support, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience supporting networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless.
  • Experience managing endpoint fleets, patch deployment, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Experience with networking and security solutions from Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Juniper, Meraki, Fortinet, and/or Palo Alto Networks.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Python is preferred.
  • Understanding of identity management, endpoint protection, and security best practices.
  • Experience supporting print servers and enterprise printing environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to support non-technical users.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft SC-200, MD-102, Palo Alto PCNSE, or related credentials are preferred.
  • Palo Alto Networks experience is preferred.
