Network Team Lead
Summary
Leads end-to-end design, implementation, and security of enterprise network infrastructure projects, including routing, switching, firewalling, and access control, while mentoring engineers and managing customer-facing delivery in Israel and abroad.
Commit is looking for a Senior Network Technical Lead to own the full technical lifecycle of network and security infrastructure projects — from requirements and design through implementation, customer acceptance, and handover
This is a technical-authority role, not a hands-on-keyboard-only position: the person sets direction for other engineers and is accountable for every design decision on the project.
Core Responsibilities
• Own solution design end-to-end: translate customer requirements into secure, scalable network architectures, and produce HLD and LLD documentation.
• Lead technical delivery — installation, configuration, migrations, and upgrades of enterprise network and security infrastructure.
• Make and defend architecture and security design decisions spanning routing, switching, firewalling, and access control.
• Lead FAT/SAT, customer acceptance, and technical handover, including as-built documentation.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer for the duration of the project.
• Set technical direction and mentor other engineers working on the project.
• Identify and mitigate technical and security risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with vendors and with the System and Cyber Security teams to ensure integrated delivery
• Own and take an active part in integration work for projects both in Israel and abroad, including on-site involvement when required
Requirements
Must Have
✓ CCIE certification.
✓ 15+ years of hands-on enterprise networking experience, with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
✓ Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise network security architectures — firewalling, segmentation, access control — across multiple vendor ecosystems.
✓ A track record of producing HLD/LLD/ATP documentation and leading implementation independently, not just executing someone else's design.
✓ Experience leading or mentoring engineers within a project.
✓ Sustained, direct customer-facing project delivery experience.
✓ Willingness and availability to travel abroad for on-site integration work.
✓ Excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
+ Additional expert-level certifications (e.g., firewall vendor expert tracks) beyond CCIE.
+ Cloud networking experience (Azure/AWS) and hybrid connectivity.
+ Automation/IaC experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
+ OT/ICS exposure and familiarity with IEC 62443.
+Breadth across multiple vendor ecosystems rather than a single-vendor background
