What You’ll Do
Our Networks & IT team
Working with one of the most advanced networks in the world, our network operations team uses the latest, most cutting-edge technologies to maintain our network 24x7, 365 days a year.
We are actively involved in many new technological developments on a huge scale to benefit our customers. And, that's where you come in, as we look to expand our talented team.
Key Responsibilities
The efficient Operation and Maintenance of all Network elements including their associated environmental systems and cabling in all PoP, Data Center, and Cable Landing station and be stationed in different sites.
Working with the relevant department within Telstra organization on network installation, upgrade, commissioning, testing, and provisioning, and fault resolution.
Cross-connect quotations, ordering, and provisioning.
Liaise closely with other engineers with Telstra as well as in customer and supplier organizations.
24/7 Standby for after office hour and during weekends for recall back to TELSTRA PoPs or cable stations for any network or customer fault, submarine cable repair, and during this period be available to perform level 1 & 2 support as directed by NOC.
All environmental covering power, generator, air-conditioning, rectifiers, and UPS at all POP sites ensuring that support contracts and services are in place and that the technical environment is robust and resilient.
Responsible for keeping records up to date.
Perform audits of records as instructed.
Timely response to acknowledge and reply to fault complaints.
Responsible to monitor and manage own ticket queue.
