Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Network Technician to manage, optimize, and secure our
infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in configuring virtual local area networks
(VLANs), deploying IP Phone environments (VoIP), and maintaining operational connectivity for Point of
Sale (POS) and Property Management Systems (PMS). Additionally, this role oversees physical security
integrations, including IP-based CCTV surveillance networks and smart access control/smart lock
systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Network Segregation: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot VLANs to securely isolate corporate, guest,
POS, and IoT traffic.
• Voice & Communication: Deploy, provision, and maintain IP Phones (VoIP SIP endpoints) and ensure
clear Quality of Service (QoS) mappings.
• Retail & Hospitality Tech: Provide comprehensive network layer support for Point of Sale (POS) terminals
and Property Management Systems (PMS) to minimize transaction downtime.
• Surveillance Systems: Install, configure, and maintain network-attached CCTV cameras, Network Video
Recorders (NVRs), and video streaming paths.
• Access Control: Administer, integrate, and troubleshoot network-connected Smart Locks, digital gateways,
and electronic entry control systems.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Diagnose network slowdowns, optimize hardware switches/routers, update
system firmware, and manage secure backups.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
• Experience Level: 3 to 5 years of active experience working as a network technician or infrastructure
administrator.
• Networking & Protocols: Deep familiarity with TCP/IP, routing protocols, DNS, DHCP, VLAN tagging
(802.1Q), and QoS rules.
• Hardware Platforms: Hands-on proficiency configuring managed network switches, routers, firewalls, and
wireless access points.
• Specialized Systems: Practical experience integrating and managing IP cameras (CCTV), electronic smart
locks, POS hardware, and PMS suites.
• Problem-Solving: Strong root-cause analysis skills to isolate and remediate network bottlenecks or physical
access failures promptly.
• Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent professional credentials are
highly preferred.
