Network Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Test Engineer to join the engineering team of a global technology company specializing in industrial automation, control systems, and connected industrial solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests for industrial networking and communication solutions, with a strong focus on network security, Ethernet technologies, and IT/OT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute functional and security tests for networking and communication modules

• Test and troubleshoot complex network implementations and communication protocols

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product and system requirements

• Design and build test environments for Ethernet and industrial networks

• Perform functional and security testing using white-box, grey-box, and black-box testing techniques

• Use commercial and proprietary security and network analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities and potential weaknesses

Ideal candidate profile

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, network testing, or software development

• Strong understanding of computer networks and communication protocols

• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and testing network solutions

• Strong technical background in complex networking solutions and implementation strategies

• Good understanding of IT/OT convergence and industrial networking environments

• Professional experience with Ethernet network testing and designing network test environments

• Practical knowledge of networking technologies and protocols

• Experience with network security concepts, security testing, protocol fuzzing tools, and vulnerability analysis

• Understanding of the Product Security Incident Response Team process

• Experience working with Cisco Industrial Ethernet / Stratix switches and routers

• Proficiency in English and Polish at a minimum B2 level

Conditions

• Contract type: B2B

• Rate: 130–150 PLN net/hour

• Work model: Hybrid (2 or 3 days per week from the office in Katowice)
