New Grad RN (Stepdown)
The Ahuja Medical Center Step Down Unit is a 22 bed telemetry unit which cares for cardiac, medical, surgical and neurological patients. The SDU will care for patients with CHF, pneumonia, diabetes, post CVA, patients requiring neurological care, and postoperative care for cardiac catheterization, carotid endarterectomies, post MI’s, post pace maker and defibrillator placements, sepsis and medical/surgical patients. Nurse to patient ratios for days are 4\:1, with nights generally a 5\:1 ratio.
