New Model Coordinator II
The New Model Coordinator II is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all new model builds from3P events through first production.
This position will support Rheem North America, based in Fort Smith, AR. This is an on-site position.
• Coordinate parts and process readiness for all new model builds.
• Track part development by working with manufacturing and manufacturing engineering on make
parts through PPAP approval.
• Assure all parts (make & purchased) are available before build by following up on all material
availability for pre-production builds with the assigned responsible core team members (Planners,
Procurement managers and Production).
• Technical assistance to Group Coordinators and Line Operators during builds.
• Manager part revisions in New Model Crib.
• Track part issues during builds and maintain open issues list.
• Research and recommend solutions to Bill of Material Errors.
• Lead build review meetings and drive open issues to closure.
• Lead ECN meeting for any design / BOM changes and assure they are executed.
• Assist in troubleshooting of process issues related to builds / launch.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education often
with little prior experience.
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years of prior relevant
experience.
• The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes,
programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through
advanced education (3 + year University degree).
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Bill of Materials, New Model Activity, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite
and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
• Strong communicative skills (speaking, writing, & listening) with the ability to present information
and respond to questions from groups, directors or top management.
• Independent thought, good judgment, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple
projects.
• Must be a team player with solid interpersonal skills.
• Experience in HVAC Industry preferred.
