Summary
Develops planning, scheduling, and optimization tools in Python or C++ under Linux for a research-focused government unit.
FBK is opening a Software Developer position in the Planning Scheduling and Optimization unit.
Workplace Description
The positions are opened by the Planning Scheduling and Optimization Unit (PSO Unit) of the Digital Industry Center of FBK. The PSO Unit carries out basic and applied research, tool development and technology transfer in the field of automated planning, robotics and optimization scheduling.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Engineering or related fields.
- Good programming skills in either Python or C++.
- Hands-on experience with standard software development environments under Linux.
- Oral and written proficiency in English.
Other Professional Skills Nice-to-have
- Background knowledge and previous experience in the following areas will be considered favourably:
- Software engineering
- Mathematical logic
- Automated planning
- Resource scheduling
- Experience with software testing methodologies.
- Experience with issue trackers and the git versioning control system.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and deliver in research and/or industrial projects.
- Accuracy, flexibility, proactivity and goal-oriented attitude.
