New Talent Program – Stylist & Colorist Development
New Talent professionals begin their journey in our AVEDA concept salons through an immersive, in-depth training program designed to prepare them for a successful career behind the chair. During this time, individuals will develop a specialization in either styling or color services.
The experience starts with a brief period of general assisting, followed by a structured training path that includes weekly workshops led by the Training & Development Manager and advanced education with our salon educators. This program is designed to build strong technical skills, provide exposure to the daily operations of a high-performing luxury salon, and develop excellence in guest service, retailing, and client retention.
Throughout the program, New Talent team members support stylists and colorists in their day-to-day activities while upholding our experience standards and commitment to exceptional guest care. As proficiency is demonstrated, New Talent will begin taking guests for select services. Ongoing education continues until they are fully trained in their specialization, at which point they transition to the salon floor full-time.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Uphold the Adolf Biecker Experience Standards
- Provide shampoo and scalp care services, including stress-relieving treatments
- Assist stylists and colorists throughout guest services
- Maintain salon presentation, including laundry and general upkeep
- Deliver a high-touch guest experience, ensuring comfort and attention to detail
- Offer beverages and create a welcoming, elevated environment for guests
- Support retail efforts through product recommendations and sales
- Participate in ongoing education and advanced training workshops
- Perform services as skill level progresses
