The Opportunity

A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking to appoint a Newly or Part-Qualified Accountant to join its Bandon office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or finalist accountant to develop their career within a supportive, high-performing team environment. You will gain strong exposure to SME and agri-sector clients while working closely with experienced Partners and senior accountants.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting and compliance services across a varied client portfolio.

Responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing financial accounts and tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

• Preparing statutory accounts for companies

• Completing accounts for sole traders

• Preparing VAT returns and conducting bank reconciliations

• Responding to and resolving client queries efficiently

• Supporting senior team members on advisory assignments

• Contributing to strong client relationships and ongoing practice growth

This role offers hands-on experience across accounts preparation, tax compliance, and client interaction within a collaborative environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Recently qualified or finalist ACA / ACCA / CPA

• Minimum 1 year’s experience within a public practice environment

• Strong technical foundation in accounts preparation and compliance

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to manage deadlines effectively

• Commercial awareness with a client-focused mindset

• Motivated, professional, and committed to ongoing development
