Newly Qualified Lawyer Program Intern
You'll join Dentons' Almaty office for a three-month paid internship, running from July 1 to September 30, with the possibility of an extension for a further three months at Dentons' discretion. You'll work side by side with some of the leading lawyers in Kazakhstan, gaining exposure to areas such as banking and finance, corporate law and M&A, litigation and arbitration, energy and natural resources, real estate and construction, tax law, labor law, and intellectual property and technology. You'll take part in real client projects, benefit from a dedicated mentorship program, develop your soft skills through training led by respected experts and trainers, and attend Dentons Academy seminars to deepen your practical knowledge of civil law.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside leading lawyers across multiple practice areas
- Participate in real projects delivering legal services to clients
- Attend Dentons Academy seminars to deepen practical civil law knowledge
- Develop soft skills through training with expert trainers
- Engage with a dedicated mentor throughout the internship
Requirements
- University graduate from the current year or the two preceding years, or a lawyer with up to two years of experience in legal consulting or the corporate sector
- Confident written and spoken English (recommended minimum IELTS 6.0 overall)
- Good knowledge of Kazakhstani civil law
- Ability to adapt quickly to a new environment and willingness to learn and handle varied tasks
