We are seeking a Big Data Platform Team Leader to support our enterprise customers' big data infrastructure deployments and operations. This role requires a hands-on technical professional with management skills who can lead a technical team and work both remotely and on-site at customer locations, including weekend emergency support when critical issues arise.

Аs a Cognyter you will:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
  • Provide ongoing technical support for customers’ big data clusters and installations
  • Direct daily operations, prioritize engineering backlogs, and ensure the team meets ambitious project milestones
  • Lead on-site and remote installations/upgrades. Manage system health via remote monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting to provide seamless back-office and field support


Requirements

For that mission you’ll need:

  • Total 10 years of experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on team leadership experience, managing and mentoring engineers
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Big Data platforms, including scripting and automation
  • Experience with Big Data Ecosystem - Apache Spark, YARN, HDFS, Apache Kafka, Apache ZooKeeper
  • Skills with Kubernetes, Vanilla, Open Shift, RKE as an advantage
  • Proven track record in customer - facing technical roles
  • Willingness to travel to customer site visits up to 20% annually
  • Strong communication skills for direct customer interaction during installations and support
  • To be open for a flexible schedule including weekend emergency support capability
  • Strong command of the English Language verbal and written

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Core Infrastructure & Automation -Ansible, Bash, Python, RedHat Linux
  • Experience with CI/CD & Virtualization - Jenkins, VMware vSphere
