The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for leading overnight store operations by directing stocking, replenishment, merchandising, inventory management, and store recovery activities. This position ensures merchandise is stocked efficiently, store presentation standards are maintained, inventory is managed accurately, and the sales floor is prepared to deliver an outstanding shopping experience each day. The Night Crew Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and support to overnight associates while driving productivity, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Night Operations- Supervise overnight stocking, replenishment, and store recovery activities.
- Assign and prioritize workload to ensure completion of nightly objectives.
- Monitor crew productivity and operational performance.
- Ensure shelves, displays, and promotional locations are fully stocked and customer-ready.
- Support execution of merchandising programs, seasonal changes, and company initiatives.
- Prepare the store for opening by ensuring all areas meet presentation and operational standards.
- Ensure proper stocking, facing, blocking, and rotation of merchandise.
- Maintain accurate pricing, signage, and promotional displays.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment opportunities.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and stock control procedures.
- Support shrink reduction efforts through proper handling and inventory management practices.
- Maintain organized backroom, receiving, and storage areas.
- Lead, train, coach, and develop Night Crew associates.
- Provide clear expectations and monitor task completion.
- Deliver ongoing performance feedback and recognition.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and associate engagement.
- Assist with onboarding and training new associates.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Promote a customer-focused culture throughout overnight operations.
- Assist customers courteously and professionally when needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.
- Address customer concerns and communicate issues to store leadership.
- Support store-wide customer satisfaction goals.
- Monitor workflow and ensure efficient execution of overnight processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Support receiving, stocking, merchandising, and recovery activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Partner with store leadership to achieve department and store objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Promote safe lifting, stocking, and equipment operation practices.
- Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas.
- Ensure proper operation of pallet jacks, ladders, carts, balers, and other equipment.
- Report and address safety concerns promptly.
- Support accident prevention and workplace safety initiatives.
- Support labor productivity and efficiency goals.
- Minimize product damage, inventory loss, and shrink through proper handling practices.
- Monitor completion of workload assignments within scheduled labor hours.
- Assist in controlling expenses while maintaining operational standards.
- Support achievement of department and store financial goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous grocery, retail, stocking, warehouse, or merchandising experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of merchandising, inventory management, and stocking practices preferred.
- Basic computer and reporting skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of merchandise up to company standards.
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to safely operate pallet jacks, carts, ladders, balers, and stocking equipment.
