Night Custodial Supervisor (81604)

Position: Night Custodial Supervisor

Supervises night shift custodial staff and coordinates cleaning activities to ensure campus buildings are clean, safe, and ready for daily operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assign and coordinate nightly cleaning tasks and work alongside staff as needed.

• Inspect work performed by custodians under their direct supervision to ensure established cleaning standards are met.

• Train staff on proper cleaning procedures and the safe use of equipment, chemicals, and supplies.

• Monitor staff attendance and ensure assigned duties are completed within scheduled work hours.

• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies and report equipment repair or replacement needs.

• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and any unusual conditions identified during the shift.

• Coordinate cleaning and setup needs for campus events and special activities.

• Assist the snow removal team as required.

• Address performance concerns and administer disciplinary actions in accordance with University policies.

• Communicate shift updates and outstanding issues to the Custodial Manager and incoming staff.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
