Night Prep Cook/Cold Prep Specialist

As a Chick-fil-A Food Prep/Cold Prep Team Member, you play a vital role in the kitchen by crafting fresh, high-quality ingredients with precision, speed, and care. You are responsible for preparing cold-side menu items, washing and chopping produce, and keeping your station spotless and compliant with food safety standards. Working in our fast-paced kitchen requires a strong "hustle," great attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Food Preparation: Efficiently prepare cold-side items according to Chick-fil-A recipes and standards, including salads, wraps, fruit cups, side items, and catering trays.
• Produce & Beverage Prep: Thoroughly wash, cut, slice, and juice fresh produce (such as lemons for fresh-squeezed lemonade, lettuce, tomatoes, and vegetables).
• Food Safety & Quality (FIFO): Practice strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation, label all prepped items accurately with dates, monitor freshness, and discard expired products.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly prep station, wash and put away kitchen dishes, and sanitize prep tables and equipment throughout the shift.
• Inventory & Stocking: Restock the prep line from daily deliveries and communicate low-stock or equipment maintenance issues to the Kitchen Director or Shift Lead.
• Team Collaboration: Follow instructions from the leadership team, communicate clearly with kitchen and front-counter staff, and actively participate in team meetings.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to work at a quick, efficient, and thorough pace in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 6–8 hours) and safely lift/carry up to 45 pounds.
• Previous restaurant or food prep experience is a plus, but not required—we provide hands-on training.
• Ability to work nights (2pm-close).
